Protestant minister E.W. Jackson, a Marine, Harvard Law School graduate, and president of S.T.A.N.D., criticized Chicago’s newly elected openly gay mayor, Lori Lightfoot, for trying to disguise homosexual behavior as “love” — a “satanic, demonic twisting of language” — and for using taxpayer money to perpetrate her “filth.”

Jackson added that God does care if people are engaging in same-sex behavior and “if God calls it an abomination, it’s an abomination.”

Jackson made his remarks on the April 3 edition of his radio show, The Awakening.

“Chicago just elected [on April 2], not only their first black woman, they just elected a lesbian woman to be their first black, female mayor,” said Jackson. “She [Lori Lightfoot] got up and said, we’re showing the world it doesn’t matter … it doesn’t matter who you love.”

“I have to tell you, I almost get nauseous every time I hear that because we know that’s a euphemism for, ‘It doesn’t matter who you have sex with,'” said the pastor.

“They’re not talking about love, that’s not what they’re talking about,” he said. “They’re talking about who you have sex with. And, really, specifically, they’re saying it doesn’t matter if you have sex with someone of the same gender. The euphemism is just disgusting.”

“It really is,” he continued, “because this is a satanic, demonic twisting of language to say exactly the opposite of what you mean. … They’re not talking about love. They’re talking about having sex with people of the same gender.”

“And God does care about that and therefore, we care, particularly when you want to enshrine it in public policy,” he said. “When you try to enshrine it in public policy and you try to make it a matter of public record and a matter of legislation and regulation, and you want to put the imprimatur of the government … on things that are inherently sinful and wrong, you are taking the hands of every taxpayer and putting our hands in your filth. You are making us complicit in the wrong, the defilement that you are doing or that you want to do, and therein lies the problem.”

Rev. Jackson then explained that it does not matter what people do in their bedroom — that is between them and God.

“The issue,” he stressed, “is you are trying to fundamentally transform our culture to make what is abnormal, normal, and to force everybody, particularly Christians, to force Christians to accept and to participate in some way in putting our seal of approval on what is being done. That’s the issue.”

“‘It doesn’t matter who you love?'” he asked. “Give me a break. I mean, give me a break with that nonsensical, demonic twisting of the language because you know it’s not about who you love. It’s about who you have sex with. That’s what they’re talking about, and specifically about having sex with people of the same gender.”

“And yes, we do care, because God cares,” said Rev. Jackson. “If God calls it an abomination, it’s an abomination.”
