Donald Trump Says He Will Use Tent Cities to End Caravan, Catch and Release

President Donald Trump told Fox News that he will hold Central American asylum-seekers in detention while they wait for their asylum requests to be considered by immigration judges.

“We’re going to hold them [in detention] until such time their trial takes place,” he told Fox News host Laura Ingraham Monday night. He continued:

We’re going to build tent cities, we’re going to put tents up all over the place … The [migrants] are going to wait [in detention], and if they don’t get asylum, they get out of here.

“We’re not letting them into this country,” he said, suggesting his plan will include all Central American asylum-seekers, not just the migrants in the two approaching caravans of Honduran migrants.

Trump says: “We’re going to build tent cities. We’re going to put tents up all over the place … and they’re going to wait.”

Under current protocol, migrants who clear an initial screening are often released until their cases are decided in immigration court, which can take several years.

JOS, Nigeria (Morning Star News) – Muslims attacked a market in Kaduna state, in north-central Nigeria, on Thursday (Oct. 18), killing dozens of Christians and burning a church building, sources said.

Area residents said a Muslim at the market in Kasuwan Magani, 36 kilometers (22 miles) south of the city of Kaduna, began yelling “Thief!” in the late afternoon in a move calculated to cause pandemonium ahead of an attack on Christians and their homes and businesses.

“A Muslim raised a false alarm about a thief in the market, which caused stampede, and then other Muslims started chanting ‘Allahu Akbar [the jihadist slogan, God is Greater],’ attacking Christians, burning houses and shops belonging to Christians in the town,” area resident Kefas Mallam told Morning Star News.

The Rev. James Moore of the town’s Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), told Morning Star News that the assailants burned down one church building belonging to the Cherubim and Seraphim movement.

“There was an alert of a thief in the market,” he said. “When people heard ‘Thief! Thief!’ they were confused and started running. Unknown to the people, it was a strategy by the Muslim youth to attack the people. They went into killings, looting and burning.”

Moore, who is the area district secretary of the ECWA, said it was difficult to give a definitive casualty figure as the town was in complete lockdown following imposition of a 24-hour curfew the night of the attack. Kaduna Gov. Nasir El-Rufai visited the site in the Kajuru Local Government Area on Friday (Oct. 19) and said 55 people had been killed.

“According to what the police have briefed me so far, 55 corpses have been recovered; some burned beyond recognition,” he said.

Local press reported the violence began as an attack by young men attacking the market that escalated into a clash between “two youth groups of different religion.”

Gov. El-Rufai told reporters that the state government had imposed a curfew in the area and security agencies were restoring calm.

“It cannot continue, we are going to deal decisively with anyone involved in this,” he said. “This country belongs to all of us; this state belongs to all of us. No one is going to chase anyone away. So, you must learn to live with everyone in peace and justice.”

He added that the violence was “totally unacceptable,” and that anyone connected with or even observing the violence would be detained.

“I have charged the security agencies and the authorities here, local and traditional, to ensure that everyone connected with this, whether as a participant, instigator, or even watching while it is going on, is apprehended and prosecuted,” he said.

Area Muslims also attacked Christians on Feb. 26. Luke Waziri, a Christian community leader in Kasuwan Magani, told Morning Star News by phone that during the February attack, 12 Christians were killed.

“And 67 other Christians arrested after that incident are currently facing trial in a court in the city of Kaduna,” he added, lamenting that they were detained without cause by police under the direct control of a Muslim inspector general of police and a Muslim police commissioner.

“The sad thing is that the police are aware that Muslims in Kasuwan Magani have accumulated weapons with the intent to continually attack us, but they are unable to arrest these Muslims,” Waziri said.

Waziri, who is the national secretary of the Adara Development Association (ADA), a predominantly Christian ethnic group in Kaduna state, expressed sadness that while Christians had yet to overcome the trauma of the February attack, Muslims launched an assault on them again on Thursday (Oct. 18).

Christians make up 51.3 percent of Nigeria’s population, while Muslims living primarily in the north and middle belt account for 45 percent.

Nigeria ranked 14th on Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of countries where Christians suffer the most persecution.

Bible Museum says 5 of its Dead Sea Scrolls are fake

A US Bible museum has removed fragments of what it believed were part of the Dead Sea Scrolls from display, after tests suggested they were forgeries.

The Museum of the Bible, in Washington DC, sent five of its 16 fragments for analysis in Germany.

But results showed “characteristics inconsistent with ancient origin”, the museum said.

Costing $500m (£386m), the museum was opened by Evangelical Christian and billionaire Steve Green in 2017.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a set of ancient manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible.

The first of the scrolls were found in caves in Qumran on the western shore of the Dead Sea in 1947. They were reportedly first discovered by a young Bedouin shepherd searching for lost sheep.

‘Commitment to transparency’

The tests were ordered after biblical scholars who examined 13 of the museum’s previously unstudied fragments said there was a “high probability” that a number of them were modern forgeries.

The museum’s chief curatorial officer, Jeffrey Kloha, said that he had hoped the “testing would render different results”.

However, he added: “This is an opportunity to educate the public on the importance of verifying the authenticity of rare biblical artefacts, the elaborate testing process undertaken and our commitment to transparency,”

It is not the first time the museum’s owners have faced controversy.

Last year, Mr Green’s company the Hobby Lobby paid a $3m fine (£2.3m) and returned thousands of items after the US Department of Justice accused it of smuggling artefacts from Iraq.

Soros’s Rented Evangelicals

The American Association of Evangelicals

‘Imagine the evil of using a Christian front to de-Christianize a culture and nation…’

The Troubling Relationship Between Soros and US’s Biggest Foreign Aid Agency

(Joshua Paladino, Liberty Headlines) Leftist billionaire George Soros has “rented evangelicals” to advance his political agenda for many years, according to an Oct. 12 video from The American Association of Evangelicals.

AAE said Soros, through the Open Society Foundations, funds evangelical and Catholic “mascots” who will promote amnesty, open borders and illegal-immigrant voter registration.

The paid Christian leaders serve as “surprising validators for their anti-Christian projects and candidates,” AAE said. “Imagine the evil of using a Christian front to de-Christianize a culture and nation.”

The goal of this is to infiltrate “the Christian base in America to divide, and ultimately conquer, the religious minded within the Republican Party,” Cheryl Chumley wrote in an opinion piece for The Washington Times.

The video shows Heather Hurlburt, an executive for New America, a left-wing policy organization, admitting her group’s use of the “rent an evangelical” model.

Soros funds Rev. Jim Wallis’s Sojourners, an in-print monthly magazine and an online publication, that defends politics of identity and social justice from a supposedly Christian perspective.

In 2010, Wallis denied that his group received money from Soros.

“No, we don’t receive money from George Soros,” he said. “Our books are totally open. Always have been. Our money comes from Christians who support us and who read Sojourners.”

AAE reported that soon after this interview “grants from Soros to Wallis disappeared from the Open Society website.”

Soon after, however, reporters “found the money trail” and “Wallis was forced to admit the truth.”

The National Review reported on Soros’ influence on Christian groups in 2010.

Sojourners received three grants from the Open Society Foundation, which the National Review called “only the tip of the iceberg.”

Soros funds dozens more religious groups: Pico, Faith in Public Life, Faithful America, New Evangelical Partnership, Telos, J Street, National Council of Churches, Evangelicals for Human Rights, Catholics United, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics for Choice.

“Rather than advancing the whole counsel of Scripture as the highest love for people and culture, these useful ministers assist non-Christian policies, projects and politicians with faith words, optics, organizing and media to confuse Christian and other value voters, to recruit the Church into their radical political agenda and to help the left’s politicians get elected,” AAE said in the video.

Hurricane Michael- The Untold Story

What a disgrace our organizations have become.
1. THREAD: Hurricane Michael- The Untold Story
As many of you know, I had the pleasure of speaking to the leadership of Bikers for Trump about the #WalkAwayMarch this weekend.
2. While I was on the phone with them, they shared with me some of the horrible things that they are dealing with as they help the survivors of Hurricane Michael. This is likely the most under-reported story in a long, long time.
3. The people in Panama City and surrounding areas are dealing with some really horrible things, including the local health department and other agencies working AGAINST them.
4. Bikers for Trump has been on the ground helping with supplies, food, toiletries, diapers, etc for the people affected, many of them in underprivileged areas, and many elderly and others who need medical assistance and have no way to get it.
5. In one example, Bernadette told me of a woman who is on several medications and went to a Red Cross clinic to try to get her medicines. Her prescription had run out.
6. She was told she needed her doctor to write an RX for her. Problem? The doctors office was leveled, and there is no way for her to contact her doctor. She has been left with no means to get her meds.
7. RC who is the President of Bikers for Trump, told me that they went down to an area with 100lbs of fresh fish and other food, and set up barbeques to be able to feed folks down there who hadn’t eaten in nearly a week.
8. While the team was cooking, they were approached by the health department who told them they weren’t allowed to cook and feed the people. RC charged on regardless, and fed all of the people who had come to have their first hot meal.
9. He shared with me that the Red Cross is allowing one meal per person, per day. The meal consists of two small round chicken nuggets, a tablespoon of kerneled corn, a piece of bread and a bottle of water.
10. This is supposed to be the meal they get for the day. There is limited accessibility, and no utilities available for large swaths of the population. There are numerous other tales of medical issues, medicine issues, and children who have illnesses not able to get treatment.
11. In addition to that, there have been some really horrible things happening in the local community with folks who live in apartment complexes. People have been forced out of their apartments-
12. These are apartments with little damage that made it through the storm, and the landlords are literally REMOVING the electrical meters from the buildings.
13. They have evicted folks and told them (in some cases) to trash THEIR OWN APARTMENTS so that the insurance adjusters see damage! The local authorities have acknowledged that what these landlords are doing is illegal, but no one is being held accountable
14. These are people who HAD ELECTRIC, and their landlords are evicting families that otherwise would have had a safe place to be, being evicted from their homes. Many of them have small children, and not enough money.
15. In addition to that, FEMA had said they would reimburse folks for their hotel- however a lot of these people are people who live day to day, and don’t have credit cards or the money to lay out. These people are now without places to stay.
16. From this point onward, I am going to share Bernadette from Bikers for Trump’s own words and photos, and I implore you to take a look at what they have been doing and what is happening, and tweet the hell out of this thread to raise awareness. This needs eyes.
17. Before I do that, I want to note that the leadership of Bikers for Trump have said that Matt Gaetz and Ron Desantis have been boots on the ground with them very often to help this recovery effort.
18. From here on out, you will read the words of Bernadette Marie from NWF Bikers for Trump, and her volunteers on the ground.
19. Bernadette: “Here is another issue with the insurance adjusters. Denise is a very close friend who has survived the storm with a damaged home. Has been here in Pensacola for a week. Was told that FEMA would reimburse the cost of expenses”
20. “Fema picked the hotel, but here is the catch- you had to have a major credit card to stay at their hotel. So the less fortunate people that are told that FEMA will put them in a hotel, if they don’t hold a major credit card…”
21. “…they don’t stay. FEMA is not paying for lodging, housing. People need to pay for their hotel upfront and then FEMA will reimburse you…” (Cont)
22. “… What happens to the families that are on fixed incomes pay their bills at first of month and dont have the money to pay upfront expense for a roof over their head?”
24. “After speaking with local police officer she asked if we could help and maintain three trailer parks where people are in need of help and no way to get it. I advised her that I would go into these parks and assist with food, and personal hygiene items.”
25. “… The officer stated that she had to send 6 people to the hospital that most of the
people there are handicapped“
26. “One housing development is destroyed and they are living here with no way to leave. No one has been there to check on them since we were there on Saturday the 20th. We came to visit and bring supplies into them with Ron Desantis and Matt Gaetz”
27. “While speaking with the people still there the story was heartbreaking. The women said to me that I needed to be glad that I did not come on Saturday because there was a shooting that took place.”
28. “….. That people where going to desperate measures because they are receiving no help and she had faith and prayed that I would find our way back to her”
29. “I advised her that I would not forget them and I would be back however long it takes to make sure they are ok. This women states that her mom is not getting the medical assistance that she needs, she states that her child was in desperate need of medical attention.”
30. “They brought some medical staff in with law enforcement and they told her since there was no hospital open that they could not help her child and that the closest hospital was Pensacola. This women has no transportation.”
31. “The cop that was there with the medical staff took her child and transported him to Alabama where the child received medical help. The child suffers from asthma. There was a gentleman there that was on BP medicine and was out of meds….”
32. “He walked to the Red Cross for help and was told to call his doctors office that had been blown away in storm and that they could not assist him. I had talked one person into going up to the shelter, I promised I would meet them there.”
33. “They were told in front of me, “If you are not staying in the shelter, we can’t assist you. I advised the women and her children to hold on as I went to back and collected what I could for them and took them out and put them in her friends car.”
34. “The car had barely any gas and drove up to the school for food and supplies.”
35. Here are some more links for video testimonials in regards to what is happening.
